Will the Vision infant vest actually flip my baby face-up if they fall in?
That is exactly what it is designed to do. The Supportive Head Float acts as a buoyancy counterweight. If an infant is in the water, the extra foam behind the neck works with the chest panels to help them float on their back, which is the safest position for a baby.
My toddler screams when we put a life jacket on—is this one softer?
Most toddlers cry because the edges of the vest scratch their chin or neck. Ronix solved this by adding Fleece Lining to the neck hole. It feels like a soft hoodie rather than a piece of plastic. It’s the best way to avoid the "I hate the boat" phase.
What is the handle on the back for?
It’s a Safety Grab Handle. It allows you to lift the child out of the water or hold onto them securely while they are on the swim platform. Ronix reinforces this handle into the main webbing of the vest, so it is strong enough to lift the child’s full weight in an emergency.
Can a baby sleep in this vest on the boat?
Yes, absolutely! The Ronix Vision is incredibly soft, the Coast Guard requires a lot of foam in the back for the head support, which can make it comfortable for infants to sleep on the boat or in your lap.
