Wakefoils & Foil Gear

A wakefoil uses a mast and underwater wing to lift the board above the water, creating a smooth, low-drag ride that feels very different from traditional wakesurfing. Instead of riding on the surface, you’re “flying” above the water on the foil. This lets you ride smaller wakes, carry more speed, and feel less chatter from chop once you’re up and riding.

A complete wakefoil kit typically includes a foil-ready board, mast, fuselage, front wing, and rear stabilizer wing, plus the hardware to bolt everything together. Some kits also include optional shims or covers. Our product descriptions call out exactly what is included so you know if you’re getting a full kit or just a board or foil assembly.

Shorter masts and larger front wings are more forgiving and ideal for beginners because they lift at lower speeds and feel more stable. As you progress, you can move to longer masts and smaller, faster wings for more speed and maneuverability. Wakefoiling has a learning curve, but with the right beginner-friendly foil and slower boat speeds, many riders pick it up quickly. Most beginners start around 8–12 mph, then adjust based on comfort and the foil design. Always start with a proper CGA vest and a driver who can bring the boat up to speed gradually while you learn the feel of the foil.
