Essential Fit Guide

"IF IT ZIPS, IT FITS"

All vests must fit snug like a compression shirt. Neoprene is designed to expand when wet for a custom "wet-fit."

Impact Vests (NCGA) 10-15% Stretch

Will contour significantly after a few sessions.

CURRENT SELECTION Life Jackets (CGA) 8-10% Stretch

Less expansion due to thicker foam.

The Golden Rule:
If your vest zips up effortlessly on land, it is likely too big. A loose vest will ride up past your ears once you hit the water.

Pro Tip: Every brand cuts their vests differently. Please review the specific size chart and fit notes above for this model.

Product Overview

High-Visibility Safety. Pro-Level Performance.
The 2026 Ronix Vision Youth is built for the young ripper who is ready to push their riding but still needs the maximum security of a Coast Guard Approved vest. Ronix designed this specifically for the 50–90 lbs weight range, bridging the gap between childhood safety and adult performance. Utilizing Nature's Neoprene and Cushion Foam, the Vision offers a soft, pliable fit that won't restrict him as he’s learning to jump the wake or carve behind the boat. The vibrant Neon Yellow design isn't just for style—it’s a safety feature that ensures he’s the most visible person in the water, giving parents peace of mind during every set.

CGA vs Impact Vest — What is the difference?

Note: Some impact vests, like the Ronix Vader, look like a CGA vest with 3 points of contact (zipper + buckles) but are in fact Impact Vests. Always verify the safety rating before purchasing.

FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My son hates wearing life jackets because they’re "itchy"—is this one better? +
That "itchy" feeling usually comes from raw neoprene edges rubbing the neck. Ronix solves this by adding Neck and Armhole Fleece Lining. This creates a soft, plush barrier that prevents the "red rash" and neck chafing common with standard, stiff nylon life jackets.
Does this vest have a strap that goes between the legs? +
No. For the Youth (50-90 lbs) category, the Coast Guard removes the requirement for a crotch strap because the child’s torso is now long enough to keep the vest in place with the waist buckles. As long as the vest is zipped and buckled snugly, Ronix engineering ensures it stays locked on his core.
My son is 85 lbs; should I just buy him an Adult Small so he can "grow into it"? +
Don’t do it. A life jacket that is too big is a major safety hazard because it will float up over the face in the water. Even though he’s near the top of the range, the Ronix Vision Youth is designed to fit a 50-90 lb frame perfectly. Safety is the priority—buy for the size they are now, not the size they will be in two years.
Is this Youth Vision Life Vest actually legal for boat use? +
Yes. This is a 100% Coast Guard Approved (CGA) life jacket, certified in both the U.S. and Canada. It is a fully legal safety device for all boating activities, including wakeboarding, tubing, and swimming in open water.
Why is this $100+ when I can get a youth vest for $40 at a department store? +
It comes down to Nature's Neoprene vs. Nylon. Cheap vests are made of scratchy fabric and stiff foam that makes it hard to move. The Ronix Vision stretches and breathes. If your child is wakeboarding or surfing for more than 15 minutes, the cheap vest will likely cause "rash burn" under their arms. This vest won't.
