Essential Fit Guide

"IF IT ZIPS, IT FITS"

All vests must fit snug like a compression shirt. Neoprene is designed to expand when wet for a custom "wet-fit."

Impact Vests (NCGA) 10-15% Stretch

Will contour significantly after a few sessions.

CURRENT SELECTION Life Jackets (CGA) 8-10% Stretch

Less expansion due to thicker foam.

The Golden Rule:
If your vest zips up effortlessly on land, it is likely too big. A loose vest will ride up past your ears once you hit the water.

Pro Tip: Every brand cuts their vests differently. Please review the specific size chart and fit notes above for this model.

Product Overview

The "Everything" Vest. Performance Without the Complexity.
The 2026 Ronix Avalon in Ash/Violet is the answer for the rider who wants a life jacket that just fits. Built on the Yes Fit chassis, it takes the minimalist, lightweight philosophy of the popular men’s Yes series and scales it specifically for a woman’s torso. This is a top-tier North American CGA Approved vest that sits in the "sweet spot" of the line—more flexible than the entry-level models, but more approachable and less restrictive than the high-intensity Capella series. Whether you're wakeboarding, wakesurfing, or wakefoiling, the Avalon is designed to feel like a natural extension of your favorite athletic gear.

True-to-Size Freedom
The Avalon utilizes Nature's Neoprene (limestone-based) and H₂O Yarn from recycled bottles to create a shell that is soft against the skin and incredibly stretchy. Because it uses Cushion Foam—the softest CGA foam Ronix makes—it doesn't have that "stiff board" feel against your chest. With Oversized Arm Holes and a Standard/Long Torso profile, it solves the two biggest complaints in women’s vests: armpit chafing and "belly button" gapping. It stays where it’s supposed to, so you can focus on the wake, not your zipper.

CGA vs Impact Vest — What is the difference?

Note: Some impact vests, like the Ronix Vader, look like a CGA vest with 3 points of contact (zipper + buckles) but are in fact Impact Vests. Always verify the safety rating before purchasing.

FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I usually have to buy a Large life jacket even though I wear a Small t-shirt—is the Avalon the same? +
No. The Ronix Avalon CGA life vest is built on the Yes Fit platform, which is designed to fit True to Shirt Size. If you wear a Medium in most athletic tops, you should be a Medium in this vest. It’s built to be comfortable and accommodating without you having to do "vest math" to find your size.
Is this vest going to feel like a "neck brace" when I’m floating in the water? +
Not at all. The Avalon uses Skived Foam, which means the edges of the foam panels are tapered at a 45-degree angle. This removes that steep, bulky sidewall that usually hits you in the chin. It’s a much lower-profile wakesurf vest that stays tucked against your chest instead of floating up to your ears.
Does it get heavy and stay wet for hours after a set? +
It’s actually designed to prevent that. The Water Resistant Liner helps shed lake water instead of soaking it up. While no vest is totally "dry," the Avalon won't feel like a heavy, soggy anchor when you climb back into the boat, making it a great wakefoil vest for those who value a lightweight feel.
I have a longer torso—will this cover my stomach? +
Yes. The Avalon is cut with a Standard/Long Torso profile. This is specifically designed to add 2 inches of length compared to standard vests, ensuring it stays tucked against your waist and covers your midsection even when you’re reaching high for a handle or crouching for a wakeboard grab.
Is the "Ash/Violet" color going to look dirty after one summer in lake water? +
The materials are UV-stabilized and chosen to resist fading and staining. While the violet is light, the Nature's Neoprene is easy to rinse off. It’s a sophisticated look for waterskiing or surfing that stays looking premium much longer than the cheap nylon vests from big-box stores.
