FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What makes this a 'girls-specific' wakeboard package?
Beyond the graphics, the August is engineered with a unique glass layup that is much more flexible than an adult board. This allows a lighter rider to actually 'feel' the board move and flex, which is essential for learning how to pop off the wake and absorb landings.
How does the asymmetrical shape help my daughter learn?
Toeside turns are the hardest part of wakeboarding. The August board has a shorter, more effective edge on the toeside to make those turns feel natural and a longer, more stable edge on the heelside. It essentially acts as 'training wheels' that help her find her balance faster.
What shoe sizes do the August boots fit?
The August boots are designed for a junior size 2 to 6. Because it is an open-toe design, it's very forgiving. If your daughter is a size 1 or 2, she’ll have room to grow; if she’s a 5 or 6, the boots will still provide a snug, supportive fit.
Is the August board stable enough for a brand-new rider?
Definitely. It features a wide profile and a mellow 3-stage rocker that provides a very stable, predictable platform. It doesn't have any 'surprises' when it hits the wake, which is exactly what a young rider needs to build confidence and stay safe.
When will she be ready to move up from the August package?
The easiest answer is when she reaches that 80 lb mark. This board is perfect for mastering the basics and learning wake-to-wake jumps. Once she’s consistently clearing the wake, landing 180s, and starting to look for more speed and a more aggressive 'snap,' that’s when she’ll be ready for a performance board like the Ronix Quarter til Midnight.
