Ronix August 120cm with August Wakeboard Package 2026 is best for...

Confidence Building: Any junior rider who struggles with learning how to get up and/or their "weak side" (toeside) turns. Shareable Family Setup: Families with multiple daughters who need a girls wakeboard package that fits a range of smaller shoe sizes.

Ideal vs. Wrong Riders

Ronix August 120cm with August Wakeboard Package 2026

The Ideal Rider

Young girls who are either just starting out or are already comfortable carving and ready to start jumping the wake. It’s for the rider who wants a board that is light, stable, and specifically balanced for a child’s frame.

The Wrong Rider

Advanced teen riders who have outgrown the 120cm size and need a more aggressive women's board (check out the Ronix Krush or Quarter til Midnight). This is also not a cable park board.

The Wakesports Crew Review

When we put young riders on this setup, the first thing they notice is how light it is. For a kid, a heavy board makes it hard to get the board in the right position to start, but the August flips over effortlessly in the water.

On the water, the asymmetrical design is a total game-changer. Most girls struggle with their toeside edge because they don't have the body weight to force the board to grip. Ronix fixed this by making the toeside rail sharper and the fins thinner. You’ll actually see the 'aha!' moment when they realize they can lean back and the board just holds the edge for them. It stops that frustrating 'sliding sideways' feeling and lets them focus on the fun part—hitting the wake. Paired with the August boots, it's a lightweight, supportive setup that stays comfortable even after a long afternoon of sets.

BOARD Ronix Girl's August 120cm Wakeboard

Board Overview

The Ronix August is a specialized youth board that proves you don't have to be a pro to have pro-level gear. While most kids' boards are basic, the August features a sophisticated 3-stage rocker line that helps young girls generate lift even at slower boat speeds. The secret is in the volume; with a wider center and increased surface area, the August planes quickly and stays stable, reducing the "wobble" that often frustrates new riders. The rail is designed to be forgiving, meaning fewer "faceplants" and more successful sets. Whether she is just learning to stand up or is starting to cross the wake, the August provides the perfect balance of stability and fun to keep her stoked on the water all summer long.

Board Tech Specs

3-Stage Rocker: An arced line that provides a more vertical pop to help smaller riders get airtime. Grip & Release Channels: Bottom channels that provide traction and a secure feel on the water. Wide Profile: A larger surface area that makes it easier to get out of the water and provides a stable landing. Modello Core: Lightweight and durable foam that makes the board easy for kids to handle in and out of the water. 2 Fiberglass 1.7” Hook Fins: Larger fins that offer maximum tracking and stability for newer riders. Symmetrical Shape: A balanced design that performs the same regardless of which foot is forward.

FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes this a 'girls-specific' wakeboard package? +
Beyond the graphics, the August is engineered with a unique glass layup that is much more flexible than an adult board. This allows a lighter rider to actually 'feel' the board move and flex, which is essential for learning how to pop off the wake and absorb landings.
How does the asymmetrical shape help my daughter learn? +
Toeside turns are the hardest part of wakeboarding. The August board has a shorter, more effective edge on the toeside to make those turns feel natural and a longer, more stable edge on the heelside. It essentially acts as 'training wheels' that help her find her balance faster.
What shoe sizes do the August boots fit? +
The August boots are designed for a junior size 2 to 6. Because it is an open-toe design, it's very forgiving. If your daughter is a size 1 or 2, she’ll have room to grow; if she’s a 5 or 6, the boots will still provide a snug, supportive fit.
Is the August board stable enough for a brand-new rider? +
Definitely. It features a wide profile and a mellow 3-stage rocker that provides a very stable, predictable platform. It doesn't have any 'surprises' when it hits the wake, which is exactly what a young rider needs to build confidence and stay safe.
When will she be ready to move up from the August package? +
The easiest answer is when she reaches that 80 lb mark. This board is perfect for mastering the basics and learning wake-to-wake jumps. Once she’s consistently clearing the wake, landing 180s, and starting to look for more speed and a more aggressive 'snap,' that’s when she’ll be ready for a performance board like the Ronix Quarter til Midnight.
