FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the One Blackout pop differently than the RXT Blackout??
It’s all about the rocker. The RXT has an aggressive continuous rocker for speed and distance, while the One has a 3-stage rocker. The 3-stage shape has a flatter center and an aggressive 'kick' at the tips, which results in a much more vertical, 'straight up' explosion off the wake.
What is the benefit of the Silver Reflective finish?
Beyond the high-end look, the Silver Reflective boots use a Cordura Ballistic Nylon shell. This material is incredibly durable and abrasion-resistant. The reflective skin is a high-visibility feature that looks great on the water and stays looking 'new' longer than traditional synthetic leathers.
Why choose Ronix One Wakeboard boots if I have weak ankles?
The One boots are significantly stiffer (8/10 flex) than the RXT boots (6/10 flex). This extra rigidity provides much better lateral support, which helps prevent ankle rolls and gives you more confidence when landing deep in the flats or in choppy water.
What does 'Pre-Tension Glass' do for the ride?
This is new for 2026. By pre-loading the glass fibers before the wakeboard is molded, Ronix creates a board that wants to 'snap' back to its original shape faster. This gives you a more consistent, energetic pop off the wake without adding any extra weight.
Can I share this wakeboard with my friends on the boat?
We wouldn't recommend it. Since the One is a closed-toe boot with a heat-moldable Intuition+ liner, it’s a personal setup. If your buddies ride in it, they will pack out the custom-molded foam, and you’ll lose that perfect, anatomical fit that gives you maximum control. We recommend getting the Ronix Anthem BOA Wakeboard Boots with the One Blackout Wakeboard if you are planning on others riding the board.
Do I really need to heat-mold the One boots?
To get the performance you're paying for, yes. The Intuition+ liner is designed to be custom-fitted to your foot shape. A 5-minute heat-mold at the shop (or at home) eliminates pressure points and ensures there’s zero 'dead space' inside the boot, giving you instant response from the wakeboard.
