Product Overview

Luxury Safety for the Smallest Passengers.
The 2026 Ronix Top Grom Infant/Toddler vest is designed for water-loving families who refuse to settle for the "stiff" orange life jackets found at big-box stores. Built for little ones up to 30 lbs, this vest utilizes Ronix's high-end Nature's Neoprene and Fleece-lined openings to ensure their first boat rides are tear-free. The standout feature is the Supportive Head Float, designed to help keep an infant's head above water and assist in turning them face-up. It’s the softest, most advanced Coast Guard Approved safety tool for infants, ensuring they stay cozy, secure, and ready for a nap in the sun.

FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why does this vest have a large "pillow" behind the head? +
That is a Supportive Head Float. For infants (up to 30 lbs), the Coast Guard requires this to help keep their face out of the water if they end up in the lake. It provides extra buoyancy behind the neck to encourage a "face-up" floating position, which is the most critical safety feature for this age group.
What is the handle on the back of the neck for? +
That is an Emergency Grab Handle. It’s there so that a parent can quickly and securely lift the child out of the water from the swim platform or the side of the boat. It is reinforced and attached directly to the internal webbing of the vest for maximum strength.
My toddler hates "thick" life jackets—will this one be too bulky? +
While all infant vests require a certain amount of foam to be legal, the Ronix Top Grom uses Cushion Foam, which is much softer and more pliable than standard PFD foam. Combined with the Fleece Lining at the neck, it removes that "neck-brace" feeling that causes most toddlers to get fussy.
Does it have a strap between the legs? +
Yes. A crotch strap is mandatory for all Infant/Toddler (Up to 30 lbs) life jackets. This ensures that the child cannot "slip out" of the bottom of the vest if they are lifted by the shoulders or if they fall into the water. The strap on the Top Grom is covered in soft neoprene to prevent chafing.
Can my 28 lb toddler wear the "Child" size (30-50 lbs) instead? +
No. You should always stay in the Infant/Toddler size until they officially cross the 30 lb mark. The Infant vest has specific head-support requirements that the Child size does not. Safety-wise, it is much better to have a vest that is slightly snug than one that is too large and lacks the necessary head flotation.
