Essential Fit Guide

"IF IT ZIPS, IT FITS"

All vests must fit snug like a compression shirt. Neoprene is designed to expand when wet for a custom "wet-fit."

Impact Vests (NCGA) 10-15% Stretch

Will contour significantly after a few sessions.

CURRENT SELECTION Life Jackets (CGA) 8-10% Stretch

Less expansion due to thicker foam.

The Golden Rule:
If your vest zips up effortlessly on land, it is likely too big. A loose vest will ride up past your ears once you hit the water.

Pro Tip: Every brand cuts their vests differently. Please review the specific size chart and fit notes above for this model.

Product Overview

Minimalist Soul. Maximum Comfort.
The 2026 Ronix Cloudbreak is designed for the rider who values a distraction-free fit. Featuring a vibrant Coral/Ink aesthetic, this vest utilizes Nature's Neoprene (limestone-based) and H₂O Yarn made from recycled plastic bottles, making it as eco-friendly as it is soft to the touch. Unlike the rigid structure of traditional life jackets, the Cloudbreak uses Cushion Foam—the most flexible flotation material in the Ronix line—which molds intuitively to your core. Whether you are throwing technical spins on a wakeboard, carving sunset lines while wakesurfing, or navigating a slalom course on waterskis, the Cloudbreak delivers a secure, legal, and unrestricted experience.

The Yes Fit & Women's Tailored Advantage
To eliminate the "boxy" and restrictive feel of standard PFDs, the Cloudbreak utilizes the Yes Fit profile and Women's Tailored scaling. This design provides a more accommodating, true-to-size wrap that stays tucked against your body without the side-gapping common in cheaper vests. With a Standard/Long Torso profile to prevent ride-up and Skived Foam on the sides to remove steep sidewalls, the Cloudbreak ensures a predictable center of gravity that is essential for maintaining flight while wakefoiling.

CGA vs Impact Vest — What is the difference?

Note: Some impact vests, like the Ronix Vader, look like a CGA vest with 3 points of contact (zipper + buckles) but are in fact Impact Vests. Always verify the safety rating before purchasing.

FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Every life jacket I’ve tried runs small—do I really buy my "True Size" with this one? +
Yes. Most technical vests require you to size up because the foam is so dense, but the Ronix Cloudbreak CGA life vest is built on the Yes Fit chassis. It’s designed to fit like your standard athletic shirt size. If you are a Medium in a t-shirt, you are a Medium in the Cloudbreak.
I have sensitive skin; is this going to give me a rash under my arms? +
Not likely. The Cloudbreak uses Nature's Neoprene, which is much softer than the petroleum-based rubber in cheap vests. It also features Skived Foam (tapered edges) at the armholes to remove the sharp, thick corners that usually cause "vest burn" when you’re paddling or carving on waterskis.
Is it going to "float up" and hit me in the chin when I'm in the water? +
That usually happens with short, boxy vests. The Cloudbreak features a Long Torso profile and a Women’s Tailored waist. It is cut longer and narrower at the midsection to stay tucked against your hips, so when you jump in for a wakesurf set, the vest stays exactly where it’s supposed to.
Does it get heavy and "soggy" after a few falls? +
No. It’s equipped with a Water Resistant Liner that keeps lake water from soaking into the internal Cushion Foam. This ensures the jacket stays lightweight all day, which is huge for wakefoiling where even a little bit of extra water-weight can throw off your delicate balance.
Is this vest safe for someone who isn't a strong swimmer? +
Absolutely. This is a 100% Coast Guard Approved (CGA) safety device. It has the same buoyancy rating as the bulky "life rings" you see at the store, but it’s engineered to be much thinner and more flexible so you can actually move while you’re out on your wakeboard.
