"IF IT ZIPS, IT FITS"

All vests must fit snug like a compression shirt. Neoprene is designed to expand when wet for a custom "wet-fit."

CURRENT SELECTION Impact Vests (NCGA) 10-15% Stretch

Will contour significantly after a few sessions.

Life Jackets (CGA) 8-10% Stretch

Less expansion due to thicker foam.

The Golden Rule:
If your vest zips up effortlessly on land, it is likely too big. A loose vest will ride up past your ears once you hit the water.

Pro Tip: Follow cuts their vests with precision. Please check the description for specific Relaxed or Tapered fit profiles.

Product Overview

Pro-Model Flex with a Rugged, Relaxed Fit.

The Follow Gratis Impact Vest is engineered for riders who want high-end performance without the restrictive, ultra-tight squeeze of a traditional competition vest. Developed alongside Pedro Caldas, this vest utilizes a hybrid construction of ultra-tough Secureprene™ Neoprene and high-stretch Quad-S™ Neoprene, creating a durable outer shell that easily shrugs off heavy park falls and cable sliders. Inside, Follow's signature TrueFit™ Liner contours naturally to your torso to prevent shifting, while the incredibly buoyant Featherweight Foam delivers low-bulk protection. It's a premium, blacked-out stealth vest built to look sharp, dry fast, and handle season after season of hard riding.

Important Safety Note: This is a premium competition impact vest. It is CE-approved for impact protection but is NOT a Coast Guard Approved (CGA) life jacket or flotation aid. It is designed specifically for advanced wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and cable park riding where maximum mobility is required.

CGA vs Impact Vest — What is the difference?

Note: Some impact vests, like the Ronix Vader, look like a CGA vest with 3 points of contact (zipper + buckles) but are in fact Impact Vests. Always verify the safety rating before purchasing.

FAQ'S: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I legally wear this vest on a public lake or if a park ranger checks my boat? +
Let's look at the legalities directly. Because this is a high-flex competition impact vest, it does not carry U.S. Coast Guard Approval. To be legal on the boat, you must have a standard, approved CGA life jacket on board for yourself. Most riders keep a cheap CGA vest under the boat seat to stay legal, but switch to this Follow vest behind the rope for unhindered performance.
Most comp vests choke me out or require sizing up two slots—how does this fit? +
Follow engineered the Gratis using their Relaxed Fit profile. It features larger, more strategically scaled armholes and a wider waist layout compared to traditional "painted-on" competition vests. At Wakesports, we recommend buying your actual t-shirt size; it will stretch snugly without making you feel like you can't breathe.
Wet neoprene always stretches out and gets sloppy after a few sets. Will the Gratis sag? +
Follow solved this using Dual-Layer Construction. Standard neoprene expands by roughly 10% when wet, which causes that annoying "belly sag" mid-ride. The Gratis uses an independent internal and external layer to isolate that stretch, keeping the vest locked securely to your torso even when completely saturated.
I hit a lot of sliders and obstacles at the cable park—will this rip easily? +
No. This vest is specifically built for heavy abuse. It combines Secureprene™ Neoprene (a rugged, textured outer layer) with a Fully Quilted pattern. The quilting ensures that even after a massive crash on a kicker, the internal Featherweight Foam won't tear, shift, or bunch up over time.
